Semley Village Stores is run by a management committee of volunteers and our manager, Lal Poynter. Lal runs the shop on a day to day basis. She’s the go-to person for new stock requests or proposals from potential suppliers.

Our shop depends on the generous time commitment all our volunteers make. You’ll usually see a volunteer behind the till, stocking shelves or simply tidying up outside. We are enormously lucky to have so many people giving their time and energy – and their good ideas and creativity. If you’d like to join us do get in touch with Lal or one of the committee. It’s fun and fulfilling and you’ll get all the training you need.

We are an integral part of our community and we are proud to support local projects whenever we can, from books for the library for pupils at Semley village school, to funding to keep local footpaths in good order and offering a delivery service for members of the community unable to get out.
